NYC

Over Labor Day weekend, Travis and I visited NYC (we had to cancel a flight, so we needed to use our left over money toward a trip).

DAY 1:

We checked out our hotel (Yotel) and walked around Times Square.

DAY 2:

After a Subway mishap (we didn't have our own map yet, so we got on the wrong train), we explored Little Italy and China Town. While in China Town, we ate at a fantastic restaurant and then got ice cream; I was so full!

We wondered by a pier and some shops:

We saw Wall Street:

After that, we rode out to Coney Island (which was a nice break from walking); we saw the beach, rode the Ferris wheel, and ate a hot dog at the original Nathan's:

Then, even though we were exhausted, we walked all the way around Ground Zero:

DAY 3:

We biked around Central Park, which is not as flat as it should be:

We walked down 5th Avenue:

We saw the New York Public Library (but couldn't go in because it was closed on Sunday):

We walked into the Grand Central Terminal, but were too tired to walk around it:

We ate dinner at John's Pizzeria:

Then, after a break at the hotel, we walked around Times Square at night again.

DAY 4:

Top of the Rockerfeller for views:

Lunch at Carnegie deli (we split a sandwich; Travis is pictured with his half):

Then, we used my new map skills and took several Subway rides to get to the airport:
